Army Day

Every year on 15th January Indian Army Day is celebrated to honour the bravery, dedication, scarification and to commemorate the day when General K.M. Kariappa became the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army in 1949.

We dedicate this day to our brave soldiers by conducting a special assembly. Students sing patriotic songs, recite poems, and share interesting facts of Army Day. A replica of Amar Jawan Jyoti has been erected on our school campus. We pay homage to the martyrs. We invite special dignitaries from Military and Paramilitary forces. Active and retired soldiers have been honoured on this day for their dedicated services. Passing out parade and Guard of Honour are the chief attractions of the function. Cultural performances are presented on stage. Through their speeches dignitaries inspire our cadets to join Defence Forces. At the end a feast is arranged with soldiers.

This year we invited students from other schools to participate in Army Day Celebration. An aero modelling show was specially arranged as it served the purpose of entertainment as well as motivation. Director General Of BSF Chakur Camp Shri Vipin Kumar was the chief invitee who honoured the stage with his valuable presence. He spoke about three Ds in his speech. Dedication, Determination and Devotion are the only path to success.
