Vedayan - Science and Innovation Activity Centre
To promote scientific temper and science education among students and the wider community, Sanskriti Samvardhan Mandal initiated the Vedayan Science and Innovation Activity Centre (VSIAC). As part of this initiative, an Outdoor Science Park with 20 interactive exhibits and a Geography Park with 25 exhibits have been established. These facilities are accessed by SSM students as well as students from nearby schools, with an average annual footfall of approximately 5,000 learners. Regular science popularization programmes, workshops, and outreach activities are also conducted in the region.
To further institutionalize and expand this effort, SSM in collaboration with the Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission (Government of Maharashtra), the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), and the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) is constructing a dedicated Vedayan Science and Innovation Activity Centre building. The proposed facility will house an indoor fun science gallery, hands-on training laboratories, subject-specific science labs, a multipurpose hall, and an amphitheater.
This Centre will be the first comprehensive science and innovation facility in the Marathwada region, serving as a hub for experiential science learning, innovation, and community engagement, and significantly contributing to the development of scientific temper in rural Maharashtra.
A team of competent and dedicated faculty members provides continuous academic mentoring and personal guidance to ensure the all-round development of every cadet.
